🎭 Scene 4 – "Hurry up, hurry up"

The scene opens with a question: are you studying because you want to… or because you are afraid of being left behind? A young person is in front of the computer. Open screens. Courses. Videos. New words: AI, hackathons, opportunities.

Everything seems urgent.

— Do I have to know everything about AI?

Around him, other voices appear. Friends, references, people who are “already hitting it”. Someone explains enthusiastically that they come from a hackathon, that they have already bought courses, that they are moving fast. That this is the future. The comparison is immediate. And silent. The person hesitates, but also gets into the game. They write. They try to keep up. They try to be part of this world that seems to be moving very fast.

But at the same time, another voice appears. Tougher. More demanding.

— It’s not enough.

— You have to improve.

— Optimize.

— You don’t give enough.

The pressure rises. Then an invitation from the outside world arrives. Someone suggests going out, taking a walk, doing something simple.

— Shall we go out? Do you feel like it? There is a moment of possibility. But it doesn’t last long.

— I can’t. I have to study. The decision is quick. Automatic. The demanding voice returns.

— You can’t stop. You have to keep going. Improve. Time passes. Many hours. Screens. Content. Constant learning… or the feeling that there is never enough.

And at some point, almost without force, another option appears:

— Shall we go out to the park? Silence.

A doubt. An open space that contrasts with everything that has happened before. And the scene remains here. Between the pressure of not being left behind… and the small, fragile possibility of going out.

This scene is not only about a person who wants to learn about artificial intelligence. It's about a very contemporary pressure: the feeling that if you don't keep up, you're left out. That there's always someone who knows more, who goes faster, who is more prepared. There's no explicit obligation. No one forces you directly. And this is precisely where the strength of the scene lies: it shows how pressure can be diffuse, internalized, almost invisible. Screens, courses, seemingly motivating conversations... and an internal voice that transforms all of this into a constant demand.

This scene doesn't just talk about training or opportunities. It talks about competition, comparison and a learning model that never ends. It talks about the difficulty of setting limits when everything seems important, when everything presents itself as an opportunity that can't be missed. It also points to a deeper tension: the one between moving forward and stopping. Between constantly optimizing and simply existing, going out, breathing, being with other people.

The proposal to go to the park is not just a distraction; It's almost an act of resistance to this logic of continuous performance. And above all, it speaks to this: that sometimes the problem isn't that you don't have the motivation to learn. The problem is that you feel that no matter what you do, it's never going to be enough.
