🤯 Dilemmas that we face

A young person joins a platform and, without really knowing why, begins to receive fewer opportunities, less visibility, or recommendations that push them toward spaces where they feel excluded, stereotyped, or treated unfairly. The problem isn’t just that the system makes mistakes, but that it does so silently, as if that classification were neutral and inevitable.
Mandate: Make bias visible, don’t hide it.
This mandate requires that technology not hide its biases: that it clearly explain what criteria it is using, allow for the review of automated decisions, and open avenues for seeking human, community, or institutional help when a young person finds themselves caught in a discriminatory experience.
